Good evening Rocky Mountain Elementary Families!
Our latest Cougar Tracks newsletter is now available. Thank you for your patience with the slight delay in getting it out. Sometimes even the best plans get caught up in the busyness of a school week, and I appreciate your understanding.
This edition includes several important updates for our families:
Teacher Appreciation Week is taking place now at Rocky Mountain Elementary with a fun 90's theme. We are grateful to our PTA for organizing this celebration of the incredible teachers and staff who serve our students every day. Families can find ideas in the newsletter for ways students can show appreciation.
Spring Break will be April 6-10. We hope all of our families enjoy a safe and relaxing break together.
The ordering deadline for the 2025-2026 memory books has been extended. Orders placed by Saturday, April 4 will be delivered to your child's classroom with no shipping charge.
End of Year RISE Testing will begin soon. Fifth grade students are completing the writing assessment this week, and students in grades 3-6 will begin the main testing window the week of April 20.
You can find all of the details and links in this week's newsletter. Thank you for being such a supportive part of our Rocky Mountain Elementary community!

Our latest Cougar Tracks newsletter is now available! Inside, you’ll find all the updates and news you need for the week ahead.
This week, the spotlight is on our student showing of The Lion King Jr. Yesterday’s opening night was a masterful performance, and today the students brought the show to their fellow Rocky Mountain Cougars during the school day. If you haven’t seen it yet, there are still three performances left: tonight at 7:00 p.m., and tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. (matinee) and 7:00 p.m. Be sure to check the newsletter for all the details—you won’t want to miss this spectacular show!
Also in this week’s newsletter is important yearbook information. Don’t forget that orders placed by March 24 will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom, but orders after that date will need to be shipped to your home with an additional shipping fee. Be sure to place your order by March 24 to avoid extra charges and secure your child’s memory book.
And as a reminder, please take note that there is no school for students on Monday, March 23, as it is a teacher workday. We welcome our students back on Tuesday, March 24.
